About the game
Wings 2 is a 2D multiplayer network game. You fly small and agile ships in varied maps,
choosing from a wide variety of different weapons and devices to use against your
opponents. The game offers several game modes with different styles of play, and
supports internet, LAN and splitscreen games.
Released in 2006. So these requirements are mainly a historical note:
Minimum system requirements
- Windows 98/ME/2000/XP or Linux
- 300Mhz Pentium II or equivalent processor
- 128 MB RAM
- 8MB video card with OpenGL 3D hardware acceleration
Current status
Limited multiplayer support: You can run and announce your own servers, but ranking
system, leaderboards and player authentication are no longer in use.
Wings 1
The original Wings is a
DOS
game, released in 1996. Recommended way of running it is using
DOSBox or other emulator.
